Jonah is often referred to as the “Missionary Prophet” and yet his thought life was so out of sync with God’s will that he rebels at every turn. In his best moments he is reluctant and in his worst moments he is faithless, consumed by his emotions, obsessed with his circumstances and full of fear. As a ministry of missions minded young people, how do we avoid falling prey to a thought life that hinders fellowship with God and stunts fruitfulness in our lives? This week we focus on the issues of finding security and stability by unbiblical means.

Podremos ver en esta sección del pasaje como Pedro nos va a retar al saber reconocer a los falsos maestros, pastores por la forma no solo en que enseñan, pero en como ellos se comportan en sus vidas diarias y sus deseos y formas de vivir,.. Pedro sabia que no iba a estar mas con estos convertidos del Judaísmo al cristianismo y los estaba preparando. Como estamos nosotros de preparados para enfrentar estos días ( sabemos que dice la Biblia ).

El Apóstol Pedro termina dando un poderoso Testimonio en cuanto a lo que sus ojos vieron cundo el caminaba con los Discípulos y con Cristo y nos da un poco de lo que había en su corazón en cuanto al estudio de la palabra de Dios ( debemos de entender los eventos por venir ) pues el habla de dos cosas muy importantes,.. nos habla del Poder de Dios ( en el contexto de la Transfiguración de Cristo ) y nos habla también acerca de la segunda venida de Cristo ( evento que parece que Pedro anhelaba mucho ) y esto nos debe retar al entender que debemos de establecer una relación con Dios por medio de la escritura y también establecer una rutina de estudio ara entender su mente y vision.

This week continues the topic of how to lead a Bible study. After a review focused on the primacy of charity, this week's study cover 4 key points, then the very practical ways to prepare for and lead a Discovery Method Bible Study. At the end there are questions that conclude this week's message.

Acts 11 introduces us to the model New Testament church. We begin a study of the Church of Antioch, a church the broke from cultural Christianity for the sake of the gospel. In Acts 11 we investigate the character of the Antioch leaders, their purposes in ministry and how God used this church to start the first true missions movement.

Debemos de recordar que Pedro esta hablando a la misma audiencia ( en continuación de su primera carta ) y lo que vemos ahora es el como sigue su discurso y nos esta en fondo en "cosas" que son importantes para la vida de un Cristiano ( vemos como se repite esta palabra muchas veces y esto debe de llevarnos a poner atención ). Osea que debemos de entender que "cosas" nos van a separar o nos van a beneficiar así que hacemos el ministerio,.. En otras palabras Pedro ha identificado a su audiencia convertida a Cristo y les habla como tales,.. y su deseo es que se sometan a Cristo en acciones. Y para nosotros es muy simple, pues debemos de hacer esta diferencia también y ver el como nos estamos comportando como hijos de Dios.

From 1 Chronicles 19, we see that the children of Ammon had many choices to make. So did the Syrians...and so did David. We are challenged by this passage to consider some of the biblical choices we have to make in choosing who we are going to be.

As we conclude our study of Peter and Cornelius, we discover several more principles dealing with the character of a gospel messenger. We also gain some key doctrinal insight on how God presents salvation moving forward in scripture.
